Mission Statement
To provide scholarships and inspire lifelong learning and change in the lives of children in India who have been affected by cancer, so they can pursue their educational goals and dreams for the future.
About This Cause
Golden Grads is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by two sisters, Pavithra and Apoorva. When she was just 9 years old, Apoorva was diagnosed with stage 3 rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancer of the soft tissue. During the course of Apoorva’s 2 year treatment, they met several inspirational doctors, nurses, and volunteers who made a difference during this difficult time by providing them with comfort and generosity. Along the way, they befriended countless children and families who shared a similar story. Regardless of each family’s background, they had one thing in common: they wanted nothing more than to see their loved ones get better. Pavithra and Apoorva are incredibly grateful for all of the resources that were made available to them, and they believe the best way to give back is by helping children who are not as fortunate.
