About This Cause
Student Career Studio is on a mission to bridge the gap between opportunities and students. Over the years, we have learned that all campus career centers are not created equal. Students attending “non-target” schools do not receive the same access to opportunities as those who attend larger well-known schools. In addition, only 28% of student interns are Black or Hispanic. Native Americans represent much less at 1.2%. Underrepresented students also are in need of funding. 60% of black college students and nearly half of Native American and Latino students receive Pell Grants but majority of scholarships have a high level of entry. Student Career Studio provides students with the professional development training not offered in school. We help students connect with other students, as well as, professionals in their field of interest. Our annual scholarship also allows students with a lower gpa to apply and receive funding. Our signature events include an Intern Showcase, Recruiter AMA, Networking 101, International Student Panel and How to Analyze Job Offers...just to name a few. We also assist students with LinkedIn profile optimization.
