Mission Statement
Stone Soup empowers people experiencing barriers to employment to achieve self-reliance through training for careers in the foodservice industry.
About This Cause
Stone Soup is a Portland, Oregon based nonprofit restaurant training people who are at risk of homelessness for careers in the food and hospitality industry. Through a 12-week culinary training program, participants are given technical and interpersonal skills training to prepare them for a sustainable career and self reliance. Stone Soup can cater events and our space is available to rent for private dining. Every dollar we raise from meals sold goes back into the culinary training program.
