Mission Statement
The Seattle Fire Foundation harnesses the power of private philanthropy to respond to the needs of the Seattle Fire Department—much in the way the department unfailingly responds to the needs of our communities. The goal is to raise supplemental funds for safety equipment, public education and other resources that the city budget cannot provide.
About This Cause
The Seattle Fire Foundation is the official non-profit organization of the Seattle Fire Department. We respond to the needs of our firefighters, as they respond to the needs of our communities. Your support directly assists the Seattle Fire Department to better protect Seattle through a number of key initiatives. Our work helps build a stronger, safer community. OUR STRATEGIC PRIORITIES: WE equip firefighters with the tools necessary to support our communities changing needs - from providing protective gear to training to firehouse necessities. WE deepen their connection to communities they serve –celebrating the history of firefighting in the City, providing fire safety and education in schools and showcasing the impact of their work today. WE fuel richer foundations for the future of firefighters – innovating new programs that enable them to better serve our community, providing grants and assistance, and creating pathways for future firefighters. Generous donations are creating a fully resourced fire department, making Seattle a safer, more secure and more livable city.
