Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide greater educational opportunity to children in need. Nurture primarily supports the construction and operation of schools in under-served areas.
About This Cause
We have partnered with a charity registered in India, Avsara, to support several education initiatives throughout India. As an example, constructing a school in a rural village with no previous educational opportunity. One school is located on the bank of the Sone river in the state of Bihar, India. Students walk to the school from thatched huts. Before the school's construction, there was neither running water, nor electricity in the village. Current enrollment at that school exceeds 160, with 52% of the students completely tuition free on a need basis. No students pays more than 1000 rupees per month (USD 14.00). Ongoing construction and teacher salaries are entirely funded by donation.
