Mission Statement
Rwanda Youth Partnership is a network of volunteers supporting the development of vulnerable youth in Rwanda through fundraising, technical assistance, and networking on their behalf. We work with Rungano-Ndota Initiative in rural Ruhango District of Rwanda, collaborating extensively with the young Rwandan leaders who created the Initiative starting in 2016. We work from the grassroots up in Rwanda, and as a volunteer network we operate with very lean administration and overhead in the USA.
About This Cause
In 2016, a group of young Rwandans and a few Americans catalyzed a new initiative for the poorest youth in Rwanda. That idea grew into Rungano-Ndota Initiative (RNI) and Rwanda Youth Partnership (RYP). Our organizations have been collaborating steadily ever since. RYP mobilizes support for the vision of Rungano-Ndota, which means "a dream generation." Our partners in Rwanda build that rising generation by helping vulnerable youth develop as leaders and entrepreneurs. Together our efforts have led a community of 200 youth to create and sustain a wide variety of businesses, bringing new strength and opportunity to these youth, their families and communities. In short, RYP supporters drive resources directly to grassroots leaders and who are empowering the poorest youth in the country to transform their lives! With the tremendous impact of their model, Rungano-Ndota is poised to grow its platform to more districts of Rwanda, helping build that "dream generation" for their country!
