Project Details
Young Life exists to support teenagers of middle and high school age in developing friendships and learning good values. We also offer after school tutoring, mentoring, urban, club meetings, fun activities, camping experiences, ski trips and other wholesome situations where they can grow into responsible adults without discrimination of any kind. Our motivation is to introduce kids to Jesus Christ, but we do not require that they become Christians to be part of our program. Although Young Life is a Christian organization and requires our employees to be Christian, we do not require that of the kids we help. We are here for all kids.
Within Young Life, we have a program called Young Lives that mentors teen moms and pregnant teens who are trying to remain in high school. This program gives them opportunities to experience the same camping experiences as other kids. Childcare is provided and special attention is given to those needs.
There is a program for special needs teens that gives them camping and club activity experiences called Capernaum. There is a Campership Fund for Multicultural/Urban and underprivileged teens, enabling them to attend camp and club activities.
We also have a program called Wyldlife for middle-school age children.
We raise funds for natural disaster relief and have contributed to the victims of natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis and fires around the world.
Young Life is a tax-exempt public charity as described in 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code that exists exclusively for public purposes. No direct, tangible benefit will accrue to the donor, any member of his/her family, or to any direct third party as a result of this gift and that it will be used to support the primary objective of Young Life.
