To enhance youth success and family stability in the Pikes Peak Region by leading and lifting the most vulnerable in our community with mentorship, life resources and real job opportunities. Our signature programs and partner agencies intently focus on connecting youth and their families to resources at the beginning of their life journey to ensure access to fundamental needs of food, shelter and learning resources for all.

Pikes Peak United Way brings local organizations, leaders, everyday people, ideas and resources together. We work to improve lives and break the cycle of poverty by focusing on youth success and family stability. Challenges that will affect education, income and health outcomes across the Pikes Peak region. And because we know that we are stronger together, we are collaborating with many community agencies and local nonprofits to bring aid to the most vulnerable among us. The Community Investment Fund invests in the most efficient and effective programs, conducted by the top nonprofits in our city, improving youth success, family stability, and health. Donations from community members fuel this fund and volunteers drive the decision-making to ensure that the donated dollars make the most impact across the region. 70,000 Individuals are served through this fund. Pikes Peak United Way 2-1-1 is staffed by compassionate community navigators. 2-1-1 is a free, confidential, and multilingual phone line that connects callers in need with personlized referrals for help. 35,000 is the average number of people served each year. Our Youth Success initiative shows kindergarten readiness is a predictive factor of long-term achievement and stability. Children who score poorly on kindergarten assessments are more likely to become teen parents, drop out of school and become unemployed. Pikes Peak United Way funds partners that target students and families from our most vunerable parts of the city. 16,000 children are served annually. Family Stability Families that have access to safe housing , healthy foods and other necessities are more likely to achieve economic stability and have better educational and employment outcomes for parent and children in the household. We invest in nonprofits that have proven outcomes in family stability. 31,000 families are served a year, including 400 individuals who gained employment with a livable wage. Pikes Peak United Way is committed to serving those who serve our country. 26% of all clients served through funding to local nonprofit agencies are military-affiliated individuals and families. 19,000 military community members are served annually. Access to health care and mental health supports have a major impact on peoples's quality of life, educational and employment opportunities, social well-being and long-term stability. As one of our newest funding areas, Pikes Peak United Way invests in nonprofits that provide equitable access to health care, healthy food and mental health services. 3,500 individuals gained access to healthcare services and support. As we all continue to navigate for family success, Pikes Peak United Way is committed to working creatively and collaboratively to help those in need. The Family Success Center is a comprehensive hub that provides wrap-around services using a two-generational approach. With a holistic vision, the center supports the entire family unit, undertanding the the success and well-being of children and parents are interconnected. Offering a wide range of services such as education, job training , financial literacy, a Sunnyside market, certification programs, health care and empowerment. The Family Success Center creates a nurturing environment where families can thrive and break the cycle of poverty. We know that amid changes and uncertainty, we can work together to strengthen our community and provide hope.
