Mission Statement

Crossroads Safehouse is a domestic violence emergency shelter for victims of intimate partner abuse and their children. Crossroads offers a continuum of services, including advocacy, intervention, awareness and education.

About This Cause

For 44 years Crossroads has been providing life-saving emergency shelter, resources and support to domestic violence victims and their children. As the largest full-service domestic violence service provider and shelter in Colorado, Crossroads is filling a vital need in our community by providing safety, support and options to victims and their families when they need it most. At our core, Crossroads' purpose is to meet the immediate basic needs of domestic violence victims and their children and eliminate barriers victims face when seeking shelter and support so they can rebuild their lives free from violence and abuse. Our services focus on crisis intervention, advocacy, prevention and education and include: -24/7 Crisis Hotline -Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART) -78 emergency safehousing beds available for up to eight weeks -Six on-site transitional housing units available for up to six months and 25 units throughout the community available for up to two years -On-site food pantry, clothing and basic needs boutique, medical unit, tutoring and TANF assistance -Individualized advocacy and support groups for both adults and children -Legal representation and advice through our Bringing Justice Home Project -Crosstrails pet foster program -Adult therapy and counseling -Youth music, art and animal therapy as well as counseling -Education and prevention for teens through our Time to Talk curriculum available in high schools throughout Larimer County and Hands are not for Hitting taught within the shelter to resident children Services are provided to both residential clients living within the shelter and outreach clients within the community. Crossroads is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year. All services are provided free of charge to domestic violence victims and their children regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, religion, immigration status or sexual orientation.
