Mission Statement
The mission of Elderhaus Adult Day Program is to provide holistic and therapeutic daytime care to adults and seniors with disabilities in a safe, engaging environment tailored to their needs.
About This Cause
Elderhaus is an important and cost-effective day program for adults with special needs. • Client Services: We provide compassionate and effective day programs 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays) for persons ages 18 and older with dementia, traumatic brain injuries, post-stroke needs, MS, Parkinson’s, Down syndrome, autism, and other intellectual/developmental disabilities. In many cases, our programs allow persons with special needs to continue residing at home for years longer, while benefiting from social engagement and active programs. • Adult Day Programs: Elderhaus defies the stereotype of adult day care as a boring place to pass the time! We deploy buses and vans daily for a wide range of supervised community engagement activities, making it possible for each participant to enjoy events and programs off-campus as well as at our facility. In addition to visiting interesting places, we provide healthful opportunities like gym workouts, fishing, hiking, and swimming. • Caregiver Care: Elderhaus offers much-needed respite that can make all the difference for those who might otherwise be depleted by the constant needs of their loved ones. With our help, many family members are able to continue their employment, or attend to other medical, financial, or personal needs. We also offer support groups and other caregiver resources. • Affordable Options: The cost of Elderhaus services are entirely covered for recipients eligible for Medicaid and VA benefits. Scholarship assistance is available for private pay participants who lack the resources for the care their loved ones need. We provide two hot meals and a snack, as well as covering the cost of group activities. Mobility-friendly transportation (including wheelchair lifts) can be provided for residents in the Fort Collins, Loveland, and Windsor areas.
