Larimer Animal-People Partnership promotes the human-animal bond through Animal-Assisted Activities and Therapies with registered therapy animal teams.
About This Cause
Larimer Animal-People Partnership (LAPP) is an all-volunteer nonprofit whose mission is to promote the human-animal bond through Animal-Assisted Activities and Therapies. Members and their therapy animal have multiple opportunities to serve the Northern Colorado community. LAPP therapy animal teams regularly visit the local domestic violence shelter, libraries, schools, hospitals, long-term care facilities, behavioral health facilities, and other organizations as well as offering a Safety Around Dogs program for preschoolers. Besides therapy animal visits, LAPP also offers Pet Partners Evaluations and Practice Evaluations. Therapy animal visits bring a smile to anyone’s face no matter who you are, your age, or what is going on in your life. Contact LAPP to design programs for a one-time visit or for a regular basis to bring smiles to the faces in your organization. All LAPP therapy animal teams are registered through nationally recognized organizations, Pet Partners or Alliance of Therapy Dogs. LAPP does not charge a fee for visits, funds are raised through donations.
