Mission Statement
The Fairview High School Band Program is located in Boulder, CO and led by director Travis Keller. We support the music education for over 100 students and no student is turned away due to financial constraints or skill level. Our marching, concert and jazz bands consistently rank in the top 3 at competitions and state. Go Knights!
About This Cause
Fairview Band Boosters Organization is volunteer run organization supporting the entire Fairview High School band program. Marching band recruits over 100 kids each year and competes in different festivals including state and national championships. Our amazing, award winning bands are led by Travis Keller. During the marching band season, kids practice and compete for over 20 hours a week. The band program continues in the second half of the school year with winter drum corp, winter color guard, concert and jazz band concerts and competitions. Band program teaches kids the importance and love of music and gives them life skills. Students learn to balance their workload of practice and competitions while maintaining their grades. Our school district allots $1500 to the band to pay for instruments, competitions, uniforms, etc and pays only for 2 staff members to run this program. We have a LARGE gap to fill to cover these needs and hire the staff needed to support the music instruction for all levels and bands. Current budget for the band is approx. $200,000 and we rely on fundraising, grants and charitable contributions to run the program successfully.
