CYCA promotes youth development and conservation by supporting Colorado youth conservation corps.
About This Cause
The Colorado Youth Corps Association (CYCA) is a statewide coalition of youth conservation corps that employ and train youth and young adults on land, water, and energy conservation projects. Youth corps are a proven strategy for engaging young people in service to their communities and stewardship of their environment while cultivating valuable skills to meet the challenges of the 21st century. There are currently 8 accredited youth corps in Colorado that serve 1,600 young people annually. They include: - Boulder County Youth Corps - Mile High Youth Corps (with offices in Denver and Colorado Springs) - Larimer County Conservation Corps - Rocky Mountain Youth Corps - Southwest Conservation Corps-Four Corners - Southwest Conservation Corps-Los Valles - Weld County Youth Conservation Corps - Western Colorado Conservation Corps
