Mission Statement

Our mission is to utilize art and expression as a vehicle of change. Activism through art is our goal. Whether this means creating politically meaningful works of art or using more mundane art in such a way to benefit those in need, the PAA strives to foster an artistic environment in which such activism becomes possible.

About This Cause

The PAA is a non-profit organization based in Seattle, Washington. It was founded in the summer of 2015 by high schoolers. We provide a source of inspiration, motivation, creativity, and education for children by hosting artistic seminars in schools, libraries, and other public venues. Through this, we hope to create a safe and friendly environment for children, as well as encourage the development of a community mindset by inviting children of different backgrounds and personal circumstances. All products created during the seminar are gifted to children in need of emotional support or sold, in which proceedings are donated to children in need of financial assistance. Our programs include art or education presentations and seminars, as well as sending out ambassadors to raise social consciousness about child hardship, and to hold art shows that display the effort of local children, staff, and persons, in which all proceeds will be donated to a charitable organization specializing in the relief of children under health or financial stress. In light of recent political developments, we have decided to expand our mission to encompass social issues that may impact underprivileged children or minors in need. In the future, we will be bringing art workshops to homeless shelters, encouraging the use of art as a medium for political expression, and delving into spoken word and slam poetry as a vehicle for political activism.
