Mission Statement
We are committed to health justice, organized around a simple mission: A public system of healthcare for all, publicly funded, publicly governed, and accountable to the people. It is separated from the privilege of employment and wealth. It is equitable in access and outcome, for every person who lives anywhere in Minnesota. Anything less than this is inadequate, discriminatory and unjust. The stories and experiences of Minnesotans are the proof of the need for transformational change. This organization is committed to this wholesale change and we are constituted to create it.
About This Cause
Through storytelling, we aim to shift the narrative and organize support for transformational change to our healthcare system. Our stories are compelling and with them, we show that today's healthcare system is failing us. Our stories will show that disparities in care are connected to our race, our gender, our zip code, and our wealth. Our stories will make it impossible to ignore the need for systemic change. From written and video stories to our podcast, from panels with experts in a variety of fields to community conversations, we bring together Minnesotans to talk about health and care and amplify their voices, especially the voices of those often left unheard.
