Mission Statement
Build people: develop people emotionally and spiritually, while helping them find purpose and achieve their goals. Build communities: develop communities through programming and fostering collaborative work among local organizations in order to maximize the impact on the community. Back up faith-based organizations: educate, equip, and edify faith-based organizations by providing support, education, and training to churches involving the integration of theology, spirituality, and mental health.
About This Cause
Salt and Light Collaborative provides counseling and life coaching with a focus on making it accessible to more people of all backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. We have four programs- G.L.A.M., which is a hybrid mentoring and counseling program for adolescent girls, Black in Therapy, which focuses on race, generational trauma, and mental health, eLAvate, which focuses on supporting new moms and helping prevent postpartum depression, and Faith in Therapy, which focuses on faith, spirituality, and mental health. We also serve as a point of collaboration for faith-based organizations to design and implement community outreach projects. Finally, we provide education and training concerning mental health and spirituality to faith-based organizations.
