Mission Statement
The mission of RVA 1004100 is to bring together our community of St. Christopher’s, St. Catherine’s, and Collegiate students to accomplish our goal of making the Christmas season a little brighter for area children. The students raise over $70,000 to cover the cost of gift cards for each child through sponsorships and fundraisers. Our students experience fully the joy of community service, not just by raising the funds, but by engaging with the children we serve and sharing in their excitement.
About This Cause
RVA 1004100 was formed in 2008 by a group of 9th–12th graders from St. Christopher’s, St. Catherine’s, and Collegiate Schools as a service group to give back to the Richmond community during the holidays. Originally, the group wanted to raise $100 for 100 students in the Richmond community area, hence the name, RVA 100 4 100. The group now raises $150 per student and we are able to help over 400 children.
