To elevate the self-esteem of pre-teens to young adults and replace their inner voice of self-doubt with their affirming voice of self-love.
About This Cause
Love The Ten You're In teaches that having a healthy self-esteem is essential to living well and contributes to your willingness and ability to being a productive member of society. Eighty-five percent (85%) of the world's population is affected by low self-esteem. Studies show low self-esteem is the universal common denominator among literally all people suffering from addictions to any and all mind-altering substances such as alcohol, not genes. Low self-esteem affects almost every aspect of our lives, from how we think about ourselves to the way we think about or react to life situations. Love The Ten You're In is empowering a network of in-person and on-line community of self-esteem influencers through events and outreach activities that educate participants about self-esteem. We seek partnerships with parents, guardians, community groups and other organizations to educate them about the need for positive self-concept and self-worth. Through our partnerships we teach and explore how to identify the signs of low self-esteem, the affects of low self-esteem on a person’s quality of life, and the value of a healthy self-esteem so that they are equipped to apply this knowledge and skills in everyday circumstances and immediately begin to serve as role models, self-esteem influencers, for their children, their peers, and their community-at-large.
