About This Cause
United Way of Larimer County tackles issues that matter most to our community and uses a collaborative approach to accomplish more together. We provide opportunities for businesses, individuals and organizations to be involved in strengthening Larimer County. OUR APPROACH: UNITED, WE STRENGTHEN OUR COMMUNITY Community needs change over time, which is why the United Way of Larimer County encourages nimble and innovative human services. Right now, through United Way, you can benefit our community in four ways: YOUTH & EDUCATION: You can help our kids learn. Through United Way of Larimer County, our local preschoolers are better prepared for school, and local students are better prepared to enter the workforce. WHY: Education is the best way to ensure a strong economy and a vibrant community. FINANCIAL STABILITY: You can help your neighbors in need. Through United Way of Larimer County, local residents can better navigate challenging times and get on the road to self-sufficiency. WHY: Financial stability is the best way to decrease the need for future social services. How we are accomplishing our goals in Youth & Education and Financial Stability is through Community Engagement and Nonprofit Excellence COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: How we help community members show up in the community – mobilizing volunteers and matchmaking donors to causes they find important… offering campaigns for donors to give to what is meaningful to you. Through your United Way Employee Giving campaign, you can help inspire more civic participation. WHY: The most successful communities demonstrate high levels of community engagement. NONPROFIT EXCELLENCE: We are raising the bar for nonprofits and providing for agencies to be better at their work.
