Mission Statement

UWC-USA is one of 15 UWC campuses located on five continents. A two-year residential school, UWC-USA serves students age 16-19 who typically represent more than 70 different countries. They participate in a unique program that combines academic challenge with an experiential, hands-on approach to learning.

About This Cause

UWC-USA is a training ground for change-makers. Students enter as idealists and graduate well-equipped to succeed and make lasting, positive change. Those who’ve experienced it will tell you it transformed them. Those who support it philanthropically will tell you about the satisfaction of knowing they helped develop the kind of thoughtful, compassionate leaders the world truly needs. Nearly all UWC-USA students receive scholarships. Fees paid by national committees account for only 25% of the school’s operating budget, and UWC-USA receives no government funding. Private philanthropy is the school’s most important source of funding.
