Mission Statement
Conext 1 Veteran Woman Inc is a non-profit organization devoted to helping women, the elderly, veterans, and their families. Our mission is to provide them with the resources, support, and guidance needed to secure employment, housing, medical care, and food pantry partners available to serve. We strive to be a safe space where women veterans can share their experiences, form communities of support and gain access to resources that can help them successfully transition back into civilian life. We also host workshops, networking events, and support groups to foster collaboration, camaraderie, and growth. Our ultimate goal is to create an environment where every woman veteran has the opportunity to thrive. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of these incredible women.
About This Cause
Mary Thigpen, Executive Director and Founder of Conext 1 Veteran Woman Inc. is an inspiring entrepreneur and veteran who has selflessly dedicated her life to helping women and elderly veterans transition from military service to civilian life. A retired United States Army soldier, Mary served for over 15 years with distinction, working her way up the ranks. Through her two successful business ventures, Mary has gained invaluable experience that she has leveraged to build Conext 1 Veteran Woman Inc. The non-profit organization provides veterans with resources, guidance, and support as they go through the transition process. Mary leads the team at Conext 1 Veteran Woman Inc. with passion and dedication that is unparalleled in the veteran community. Mary Thigpen is a true example of the power of woman veterans and an inspiration to those who seek to serve their country and communities. Her relentless drive, passion for service, and commitment to helping women and elderly veterans are just a few qualities that make her such an incredible leader. Conext 1 Veteran Woman provides access to resource referral services, giving veterans, as well as senior citizens the chance to receive assistance with finding housing, employment training, and mental health counseling. Furthermore, Conext 1 Veteran Woman offers outreach programs such as community-building events and in-depth training sessions for our clients and volunteers so they can be empowered to take charge of their own lives. Through our efforts, we are making meaningful changes in the lives of veterans and strengthening the communities they live in. We also strive to raise awareness about how homeless veterans can be best served by providing access to essential services and resources.
