Mission Statement
Advocacy for Excellence's mission is to expose first-generation students from urban low economic situations and under-performing schools to the college-going process, promote persistence, and empower them to achieve personal and professional aspirations while becoming pillars of the community.
About This Cause
Advocacy for Excellence (A4E) is a student support services nonprofit whose focus is providing first-generation college students of color with access to post-secondary preparation activities such as, college readiness workshops, mentoring, and health and wellness assistance. The aim is to improve students' higher education foundation and promote bright futures by increasing college retention and graduation rates and ultimately for students who enroll in two or four-year institutions of higher learning.
