Mission Statement
EQUITY ARTS is a model for arts and cultural preservation in gentrified communities aimed at creating restorative space to advance racial equity. This regenerative arts ecosystem will create economic mobility through professional development and mentorship for artists, leaders and entrepreneurs.
About This Cause
Expanding the public use of a historical arts building, Equity Arts (EA) is a real estate project to develop a 38,000 sq. ft creative hub that combines a local retail, an incubator, galleries, and multiple arts organizations. The building will support the next generation of impact leaders to reach their full potential and harness the power of the creative economy. This new model achieves community wholeness through multigenerational, holistic programming that celebrates Chicago’s cultural heritage of contemporary art and House music.
