We're on a mission to send 100,000 cards of hope and cheer to those living with long-term illness, rare disease, longCOVID or disability in 2023.
About This Cause
Nothing good ever comes in the mail anymore! And if you live with a long-term illness, the only things that come are insurance statements, medical bills and collection notices! We're on a mission to change that... to spread hope, love and cheer with greeting cards that pop up in the mailbox when the person needs it the most! ChronicWarriors.org is a Central Florida based non-profit that is committed to positively affecting the mental health and well-being of those living with long-term illness, rare disease, longCOVID, and disability. We're ALL about sending Happy Mail to encourage and uplift illness warriors! Thanks to the shelter-in-place orders as a result of this global pandemic, healthy humans everywhere have experienced what it is like to miss out on life, have to cancel plans, and to be cut off from friends and family... a glimpse into the lonely life of an illness warrior. We have several programs centered around mail! Our Warrior Card Swap is a monthly card swap open to illness warriors worldwide. To date, we've had over 2,700 participants from 29 countries. Our Cards2Warriors program sends thousands of snail mail specialty greeting cards created by artists living with illness. Additionally, those living with illness have the opportunity to find purpose by volunteering and creating cards for their fellow illness warriors who are really struggling and need extra encouragement to keep fighting!
