About This Cause
Catholic church under Diocese of Chicago serving the Syro Malabar catholic community in the Bay Area. The Syro-Malabar Church was known as the Church of the St.Thomas Christians until the 18th century because it was founded by St Thomas, one of the apostles of Jesus Christ. St. Teresa of Calcutta Syro Malabar Mission of East Bay started as mission church of the mother church St Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic church of SFO . This mission was consecrated on July 3rd 2019 by The Most reverend Mar Jacob Angadiath , the Bishop of SyroMalabar Diocese Of Chicago. This mission church is colocated with the St Bartholomew's Episcopal Church Of Livermore.The church currently has around 100 families and 250 + members.
