Mission Statement
The World Disc Golf Hall of Fame (WDGHoF) is established to promote the highest and best aspects of the sport of disc golf in such a way as to educate and motivate disc golfers and others to strive to give their best to the community through volunteerism, charitable works, encouragement, and a dedication to helping others through the expansion of the sport of disc golf and the disc golf community. The World Disc Golf Hall of Fame is organized and operated for educational and charitable purposes in accordance with Section 501 ( c )( 3 ) of the Internal Revenue Code.
About This Cause
The World Disc Golf Hall of Fame is an independent non-profit entity based in the United States dedicated to promoting the sport of disc golf by preserving and sharing the history of the sport and the sport's most respected contributors worldwide. The World Disc Golf Hall of Fame seeks to honor outstanding contributors to the sport of disc golf by annually inducting individuals nominated by and elected by the World Disc Golf Hall of Fame members and approved by a duly empowered Board of Directors. Election to the World Disc Golf Hall of Fame is the Highest Honor in the sport. Achieving the highest honor is based on character, integrity and participation. Those who have achieved the honor work to educate and inspire others to aspire to giving selflessly as they did that resulted in recognition by their peers who achieved the same honor.
