Our mission is to promote academic excellence through the expansion of resources that enrich the education, development and well-being of the students of the Amphitheater Public School District.
About This Cause
Since 1983, the Amphi Foundation’s mission has been to promote academic excellence through the expansion of resources to benefit the education, development and well-being of the students of the Amphitheater Public School District. Our programs are grounded in three focus areas: 1) Student Preparedness. We run a Clothing Bank and shoe shopping program for students in need and we provide backpacks & school supplies. We also supply resource kits to school health offices (which include hygiene and personal care products, lice kits, menstrual products and more!) Our goal and hope is that the supplies we provide through these programs will help keep students in class, ready to learn! 2) Innovative Learning Opportunities for Students and Educator Support. We offer classroom grants and other funding directly to educators so that students can be engaged in hands-on, innovative projects. We sponsor the purchase of classroom technology and supplies and materials for school makerspaces. 3) Opportunities for Students to become College, Career and Community Ready. We offer several scholarships, athletic fee waivers, and academic travel stipends so that students can aim high academically and participate in activities outside of the normal classroom, which is so important to thriving in their academic careers. We also support a life skills program called Life Beyond the Books that benefits 8th graders. Over the past decade, the Amphi Foundation has reinvested over $2,000,000 directly into our schools and students. In the 2022-2023 school year, the Amphi Foundation invested over $320,000 into the Amphi community through all of our programs and services. When our community invests in education, our students win and so do we!
