About This Cause
Gabriel's Angels is a long running program in Arizona that delivers healing pet therapy to vulnerable youth throughout the state. Our short term goal is to instill in children an overall emotional sense of well-being, safety and happiness. We envision a future where youth has the strength to heal and the hope for a brighter tomorrow. Presently we provide pet therapy services to over 90 schools and other youth serving non-profit agencies and serve over 4,000 children annually through nearly 130 Pet Therapy Teams. Our services are provided free of charge to the agency and the children. Gabriel's Angels pet therapy services are provided by volunteer Pet Therapy Teams, usually consisting of a companion dog and owner. Teams visit each participating agency on a consistent schedule to build trust, empathy and respect in the children.
