Mission Statement

National College Resources Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit educational enhancement organization. Our mission is to curtail the high school dropout rate and increase degree and/or certificate enrollment among underserved, underrepresented, at risk, low resource, homeless and foster students. Our focus is to close the gap in educational achievement, workforce and economic disparities with the goal to end racism and racial inequality.

About This Cause

Founded in 1999, National College Resources Foundation (NCRF) is a 501c3 nonprofit educational enhancement organization. NCRF's mission is to curtail high school dropout rate and increase enrollment to degree or certification programs among underserved, underrepresented, at risk, low resource and homeless and foster students. Our vision is to close the gap in achievement, workforce and economic disparities with the goal to end racism and racial inequalities with the goal to end racism and racial inequality. NCRF has helped over 600,000 students get into college and have given over 2 million dollars away in scholarships. In addition, we have helped students secure over 4 billion in scholarships and grants. 80% of our students we serve are low to moderate income families. NCRF is a CRA qualified organization. The College Access, Internships & Careers Program & Entrepreneurial Academy, The Movement Enrichment Program (TMEP), STEAM Program, Student Athlete Program (SAP), along College Expo Tour, that include trademark events Black College Expo™ and Latino College Expo™ support the higher learning initiatives to create a "college going" culture amongst underserved students. ● NCRF’s College Access activities empower students to seek higher education and increases graduation rates and college matriculation rates which help close educational gaps ● NCRF’s Internships & Careers Program prepares students for the workforce and Entrepreneurial Academy helps create and grow businesses in underserved communities ● TMEP confronts the disparities in the education system providing intervention, mentoring, tutoring, and college and career planning. ● STEAM provides students with instruction in 20+ STEAM curricula, such as coding, programming, and 3D printing to stimulate learning and critical thinking. ● NCRF’s Student Athlete Program engages, educates and empowers student athletes to understand the importance of education and helping them become true STUDENT-athletes Due to the high rate of foster youth and homelessness among Black and Brown students, NCRF provides support and wraparound services for students. To break this cycle and realize its vision, NCRF is focused on improving educational outcomes and expanding workforce opportunities. National College Resources Foundation’s primary core service: ● Education ● Educational Services ● College Preparation ● College and Career Planning ● Student Athlete Education and Support ● Internships and Careers/Work Readiness/Entrepreneurship NCRF’s primary and secondary intervention types: ● Direct Services ● Individual Support, Training, Education and STEAM Education ● Grants or Scholarships for Education, Training, or Other Services ● Exhibits or Cultural Events/Performances ● Conference or Convenings National College Resources Foundation – By the Numbers Since its inception in 1999, NCRF has made the following impact: ● Over 1,520,000 students have participated in either the expos or programs ● Over 600,000 students have enrolled in college ● Directly distributed over $2 million in scholarships ● Helped students secure over $4 billion in scholarships and grants Annually, NCRF works directly with the following entities: ● 500 Colleges and Universities ● 105 Historically Black Colleges and Universities ● 24,000 Schools ● 102 Middle and High Schools are active in The Movement Enrichment Program ● Provides services to over 200,000 students annually Why NCRF Matters: • 70% of our intensive students (students in danger of failing) increased their grades at least one letter grade, and increased graduation rates at least 90% among homeless and foster students • 90% of our intensive students receive passing grades in all their classes • NCRF’s Program “The Movement Enrichment Program” has increased student’s Math grades a minimum of 25% • Over 95% of our scholarship recipients finish college • Created a 100% College Going Rate at selected high schools • 98% of students in program go to college, certificate program or military • The Movement has garnered 100% graduation rate for African American students at selected high schools • The Movement has increased graduation rates at all high schools at least 20% • 100% of our students in the Movement Program apply to college or certified program • NCRF has placed over 3000 college students in internships and careers • Helped over 600,000 students get into college • We have awarded over $2 million in scholarships • Helped over 1500 athletes receive athletic scholarships • Has helped students over 4 billion million in scholarships and grants • Helped reduced student suspension rate and behavior issues at all schools by at least 50% • Increased number of students majoring in STEAM-Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Agriculture, Aviation, Aerospace and Math, now more than 65% of NCRF scholarship winners are majoring in a STEAM related field • NCRF is the only program in the country to offer a Dual Enrollment to HBCUs through its program, reducing the cost to attend college amongst low resource families. • NCRF offers FREE certification classes like medical terminology to students 18+ and have awarded over 300 certifications to students to better their life National College Resources Foundation connects students to college, careers and beyond!
