Mission Statement
Ryan’s Case for Smiles is one of the few volunteer organizations solely dedicated to helping sick children cope with the stress of life changing illnesses and injuries.
About This Cause
We provide children with whimsical pillowcases that give them an emotional boost and remind them they are not defined by their illnesses. This simple gift provides proven stress relievers including distraction and hope that enhances the emotional well-being of the children and their families. Future of Our Work: • Develop additional evidence based content for our family resources section of our website, created in language that is easy to understand and tailored to the challenges of pediatric patients and their families. Key focus areas are: life after treatment ends, palliative care, and bereavement. • Support siblings who are often left feeling isolated and frightened by their sibling’s illness or injury through online resources and Sibshops, in-person workshops where siblings of children with medical and developmental challenges can connect with other siblings, have fun, and talk about their experiences.
