Our mission at Paddle for Peace is to Diversify the coast. We harness the healing power of the ocean to uplift BIPOC, low income and underserved youth. By breaking down barriers to coastal access, we offer more than outdoor adventure, we provide a pathway to emotional and physical well being, fostering a deep connection to the ocean and a commitment to protect it.
About This Cause
Paddle for Peace is a San Diego-based nonprofit dedicated to diversifying coastal access and empowering BIPOC, low-income, and underserved youth through ocean-centered experiences. Founded on the belief that everyone deserves a safe and welcoming space by the sea, Paddle for Peace offers immersive programs like our Surf and Science Outdoor Program, Rising Tides Youth Leadership, and Coastal Ninja Academy in classrooms. Each program fosters personal growth, environmental stewardship, and a deep connection to the ocean. By breaking down barriers to coastal access, we provide more than just adventure—we open pathways to healing, confidence, and lifelong well-being, inspiring participants to protect and cherish our coastlines for generations to come.
