Mission Statement
We are a student founded and run 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping the NYC low-income community recover from the impact of Covid-19.
About This Cause
As of 2024, 58% of all families in New York City live below the poverty line. Since 2019, New York City's poverty has increased drastically, with more families than ever needing assistance. Forming Futures works to support these families by distributing hygiene supply kits, school supply kits, and gently used clothing. These goods are distributed through events held at low-income schools and other institutions serving the low-income community. Through our work, we ensure that these families receive the supplies that they need while also showing them that they are seen, respected, and that they are not alone.
