Mission Statement
Utahns Against Hunger works to increase access to food through advocacy, outreach and education.
About This Cause
Utahns Against Hunger works on the federal, state and local level to ensure federal nutrition programs are accessible to all eligible Utahns. We work with Utah's congressional delegation, state & local elected officials to educate them about the impact these programs have on their constituents. We train community partners on how to assist people to apply for benefits as all as advocate on their behalf if they are denied benefits. We work with farmers markets to accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly food stamps) benefits.
