Our ultimate goal" is to be the change we wish to see in the world” by taking concrete actions at the ground level to empower underserved people to realize their dreams.
About This Cause
California is home to numerous high-performing schools, where students benefit from private tutoring and extracurricular classes, enhancing their academic achievements and preparing them for college. However, there are also severely underfunded schools that lack sufficient resources. These schools enroll students with ambitious aspirations but face challenges such as inadequate funding, low teacher salaries, high turnover rates, and overwhelming socioeconomic obstacles. Consequently, these issues contribute to lower academic performance compared to neighboring school districts, resulting in an unequal starting point for high school and a community that fails to fully utilize its most talented individuals. Sky is the Limit is an organization comprising volunteers who are high school and college students. Our primary objective is to support and foster the advancement of arts and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education among underserved students. We achieve this by offering extracurricular and summer programs, taught by volunteers who possess expertise in science, technology, engineering, math, and the arts. Additionally, we develop online content and facilitate one-on-one online mentoring programs to actively engage and sustain students' interest in STEM subjects
