Mission Statement

A Pan-African Community Project We are a people and family friendly group with the focus on African communities as well as those with African origins and beyond. We define ourselves through the vision of bridging the gap between the Africans themselves, between Africans and the African diaspora. Our guiding principle is "UBUNTU": a concept of unity and love in what we undertake to build a positive environment for the communities we serve. Seven years ago, we embarked on a visionary journey with the goal of creating a positive impact within our community. Our purpose has always been to empower and transform the lives of our people, fostering progress and growth. We asked ourselves, "What can we do to uplift our fellow from the Pan-African community in Oregon? How can we enhance our quality of life, both professionally and socioeconomically?" Our deep concern for the well-being of our community has been the driving force behind our mission. We envision a community where our people live in dignified housing, our children receive excellent education in environments that nurture success and personal growth, and adults thrive in their business endeavors. We aspire to create a community where healthcare is accessible and exceptional, neighborhoods are safe, and no one goes hungry while abundance surrounds us. Addressing healthcare and wellness challenges in our community is a top priority. Recognizing that physical health and mental well-being are critical components of human capital, we are committed to qualitative improvements that reach a wider segment of our community. One aspect we've been working diligently on is raising cultural visibility in the broader community. We aim to rectify the lack of recognition of our cultural values and heritage by sharing our unique history through annual cultural events.

About This Cause

We are a platform organization, an association dedicated to foster unity, create opportunity for social, economic development, to advance the well-being in health, wellness of families, adults in need. We care deeply about the most vulnerable among the Afro descendant communities as well as the under privileged families of immigrants, refugees we want to assist with adequate services and resources (healthcare, housing, work skill training, small business entrepreneurship). We also host cultural events through our fundraisers and festivals with the aim of promoting our visibility and uniqueness in the broader community of Oregon. Our group is dedicated to fostering unity within our community in addressing the historical injustices of oppression, racism, and colonialism that have plagued our populations for centuries. These injustices have resulted in a lack of access to fundamental fairness, equitable material wealth, healthcare, and justice. Our event is an immersive cultural exposure offering samples of culinary delights, arts, culture, and live musical acts of the Africans and Afro-Diaspora’s heritage. We feature vendors showcasing ethnic arts, clothing and handcrafted artifacts and crafts. We give opportunity to local artisans and craftspeople to sell their creations. Over time, the resources that our cultural events generate will be used to support more and more our activities, making us less and less reliant on public assistance..
