Mission Statement

The OvaryIt Foundation is a Not-for-Profit organization with a mission to increase access to contraceptive and family planning services and advance women’s health through research, access, and education.

About This Cause

OvaryIt Foundation® is a tax-exempt 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization. We aim to bring contraceptive access and advocacy to those experiencing domestic violence, human trafficking, and those re-entering society after incarceration and provide free sexual education to all. The Hard Facts: Women’s health services have suffered and been understudied for decades. The OvaryIt Foundation intends to change how the population views women's health and education. - 45-49% of all pregnancies in the United States are unintended. - 19.1 million women in the United States still need access to contraceptive services. - Only 18 states require sexual education to be medically accurate. - Only 6 states require sexual education to be medically accurate and include contraceptive education. - 41% of American females do not know how to insert a tampon correctly. - The United States spends nearly $20B a year on healthcare costs for sexually transmitted infections. How do we intend on changing the metrics described above? Normalizing the normal. Goal 1: Educate. The OvaryIt Foundation offers medically accurate and age-appropriate sexual health information available to the general public for free of charge. This curated information is coming to YouTube to increase awareness and adoption. Goal 2: Financial Assistance. The OvaryIt Foundation provides financial assistance for contraceptive services, medications, devices, and education for our partner organizations. Critical partnerships with providers, pharmacies, and local care centers are established to ensure affordable access to care. Goal 3: Research and Advocacy. Women’s health has been understudied for decades. In 1993, it became federal law for women to finally be included in nationally-funded research. Our goal is to ensure that research is inclusive and fill the significant knowledge gaps that still exist in women’s health research. This includes funding, designing, and collaborating with clinical partners to conduct scientific studies focused on contraceptives and family planning. Through these services, we naturally serve our planet. If we were to fully educate girls & women and provide access to family planning, the total atmospheric CO2 reduction would be greater than that of solar farms, solar rooftop panels, nuclear energy, and geothermal energy… COMBINED By simply doing the right thing, we can create a healthier population and environment. Although other options exist to get individuals access to care, it is essential to note that most accept Title X federal funding. Title X funds require providers to teach abstinence first. Although this method is helpful to some of the population, it is important to realize the negative impact this can have on survivors. Survivors of sexual assault, human trafficking, domestic violence, and others often avoid these types of access organizations due to past traumas, judgment, or lack of trust in governmental relations. As such private grants, partnerships, and fundraising efforts allow the Foundation to assist in bringing access to those who have slipped between the cracks. To help understand the scope of these services: - On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. -1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men experience severe intimate partner physical violence, intimate partner contact sexual violence, and/or intimate partner stalking with impacts such as injury, fearfulness, post-traumatic stress disorder, use of victim services, contraction of sexually transmitted diseases, etc. - 72% of all murder suicides involve an intimate partner; 94% of the victims of these murder-suicides are female. - Unintended pregnancy is 3.3x higher for women who experience sexual and physical abuse. Unfortunately, a growing trend is an abuser trying to impregnate those attempting to free themselves. This way, the abuser remains in control. - Over 45% of female rape victims were raped by an intimate partner. Together we can allow millions of individuals within the United States access to care, education, and advocacy while shining the light on other worthy causes. We hope you join our mission to provide prevention and education to those that need it most.
