Mission Statement
We are a women-lead, non-profit organization providing leadership, vision, and innovation with services to all women and girls of Ghana. Our 4 core values: Faith, Educate, Develop, Empower are reflected in our 5 Initiatives. FAITH: Through Outreach, we seek to provide hope in action and share the good news of Jesus Christ, distribute Bibles, and offer hope to women and girls . EDUCATE: With over 52% of girls experiencing sexual violence IN public schools, 40% literacy rate, 30% primary school drop-outs and over 2 million women who never finished primary school in Ghana, we seek to open Ghana's FIRST All-Girls Primary School to not only educate girls, but empower them with a focus on Creative-lessons and STEAM Education. We also plan to provide College Exchange Programs in the US/Ghana so that as we grow, we provide volunteer opportunities for US Women to teach in our schools, work in our healthcare facilities and allow for Ghanaian Women to finish their College Education in the US at participating Universities, especially in the areas of medicine, science, and engineering since those programs are not offered in Ghana's Colleges. DEVELOP: We want women and girls to have gainful employment in not just our school, but as we grow to continue to provide local communities with jobs making dresses, teaching, cleaning, security, and health care. Our success is part of the economic development of Ghana. EMPOWER: Women deserve economic and academic freedom. We provide dress making and entrepreneurship classes, and grow into providing Women's Health Services and Screenings to empower them to be able to get jobs and attend school. In addition many girls cannot afford basic feminine supplies due to rising costs and limited supplies, so they drop-out-of school in 6th-8th grade. Many of those women go on to sell produce in the local marketplace, making less than $200 year and never finishing school. Founders Initiative has already brought 1000's of feminine supplies, and even supplies for new mothers and babies over the past year, so that women are empowered to contribute fully to their families and continue to attend school/work in Ghana.
