Mission Statement
The Snuggle House Foundation is dedicated to advancing equitable, culturally-centered maternal health outcomes for underserved women, birthing people, and their families. Through a comprehensive model of midwifery care, doula support, education, and holistic wellness services, we seek to restore dignity, safety, and agency in the birth experience. Grounded in both ancestral wisdom and evidence-based practices, our mission is to provide care that honors the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—while fostering community connections and intergenerational healing. We collaborate with healthcare partners, educators, and advocates to reshape perinatal care systems, elevate Black maternal voices, and contribute to lasting change in reproductive justice. Because when families thrive, entire communities flourish.
About This Cause
Snuggle House Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing birth justice and improving maternal and infant health outcomes for Black, Indigenous, and underserved communities. We provide comprehensive, culturally-affirming care through a community-based model that blends ancestral wisdom with modern, evidence-informed practices. Our offerings include midwifery-led prenatal and postpartum support, doula services, childbirth education, mental health resources, and traditional herbal wellness—all delivered with a deep commitment to cultural excellence and person-centered care. At Snuggle House, we believe birth is both a clinical and cultural rite of passage. We uphold high standards of safety and quality while honoring the traditions, dignity, and voices of the families we serve. Through education, advocacy, and direct service, we work to eliminate systemic inequities in perinatal care, foster intergenerational healing, and uplift the power of community in every birth journey. When Black, Indigenous, and underserved families are empowered in birth, entire communities thrive.
