About This Cause
Goods For Good’s (G4G) mission is to strengthen the community through collective acts of kindness. We partner with local nonprofits to provide critical care to economically disadvantaged, underserved, and vulnerable communities in the Washington, DC area. Our community service opportunities address specific, often tailored needs of youth, families, and seniors who are homeless/house insecure, migrants, food insecure, or domestic violence survivors. G4G harnesses the power of community volunteers who provide their time and essential goods on a regular and repeated basis at no cost to the nonprofit or recipients. More than 1,500 volunteers have donated their time and their heart to help their neighbors through G4G projects. G4G has partnered with and supported 43 local nonprofits. We’ve worked with thousands of volunteers and dozens of businesses. We have donated over $410,000 in goods and helped over 56,000 people. From meals to clothing, school supplies to health-related equipment, G4G is there. All year. Across Greater Washington. Goods For Good partners with over 43 local nonprofits in projects such as: • Cooking meals for people living in shelters • Serving migrants, refuges and neighbors in need through our clothing pantries • Distributing fans to those with inadequate cooling systems in the summer • Giving health-related/toiletry items to seniors and high-risk families • Providing "We Care" gift bags to isolated, low-income seniors Volunteerism is our life-blood.
