Mission Statement
The Sparks Piranhas strive to create a culture in which provides a safe, healthy, and positive culture for all members. With a strong philosophy of core values, we strive to cultivate our young athletes into dynamic individuals through the sport of swimming. The same core values drive all aspects and endeavors of our organization.
About This Cause
The Sparks Piranhas Swim Team has been making a splash throughout Sparks, Reno and beyond for over 40 years. It is difficult to find someone who has not had some kind of positive experience whether during a community give back event, is an alumni swimmer, current swimmer, or has had a child who was on the team or knows one of the team’s endearing coaches. The Sparks Piranhas Swim Team is a nonprofit organization that was developed with the intent to use the sport of swimming to create a culture in which athletes from beginning to elite can learn to excel in their all-around lives. Swimming is an important life skill and we believe that all people from birth to retirement benefit from learning this sport. One of our long-term objectives is to build an aquatics center that will support multiple areas of health, wellness and safety. We have successfully built a team of elite athletes who leave a legacy each year. We are a community in the Sparks area with a family feel and a culture where parents and swimmers feel safe to communicate and our coaches lead with strong core family values.
