About This Cause
Las Vegas Habitat for Humanity is committed to building the quality of life, health, and economic prosperity in Southern Nevada by producing, preserving and advocating for affordable home ownership – because homes and families are the foundation of successful communities. We work to bring affordable housing to Southern Nevada area communities and the families that live in them. We build, repair, and sell homes to families with an affordable mortgage while connecting them to the community through our neighborhood revitalization projects. Habitat impacts every area of a family’s life – health, safety, educational outcomes, and financial opportunity. The impact grows with each generation. Our core programs revitalize neighborhoods, build affordable and sustainable housing solutions, and empowers families through successful home ownership. Since 1991, we have partnered with volunteers, the community, and qualified families with limited incomes to strengthen communities in Southern Nevada. We operate autonomously from Habitat for Humanity International and independently with our own local Board of Directors, funding sources and strategic goals for lifting families out of poverty in Clark County. All donations raised here, stay here in Southern Nevada.
