Mission Statement
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation (LVMPD Foundation) – the Friends of Metro - is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that raises funds to support and supplement Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department programs and initiatives. The LVMPD Foundation was established in 1999 and is dedicated to supporting programs that help keep our community safer. This includes programs that prevent crime, save lives and make Southern Nevada a safer place to live, work and visit.
About This Cause
Our Vision: To increase the safety of our community by supporting a diverse array of initiatives including updated technology, equipment, higher education scholarships for children of officers, as well as hundreds of community engagement, and public safety programs and events such as Every 15 Minutes, Shop with a Cop/Santa Cops, Rebuilding Every City Around Peace, and the Bolden Little League. Our Goals: Our goal is to continue to increase our support of Sheriff Lombardo and LVMPD’s commitment to community engagement programs. We seek to improve lives and communities, especially communities of color. Through funding a variety of community engagement and public safety programs, we strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and residents to enable a safer Southern Nevada. We continue to strive to be a step ahead of those who wish to do harm in our communities by spearheading the formation of the Nevada Joint Training Center. This state-of-the-art facility will provide a cooperative world-class training campus for Nevada’s First Responders.
