About This Cause
South Beaverton Youth Cheer is a non-profit community program that makes cheerleading accessible to any youth in grades K-8, regardless of financial need. We support multiple youth football programs in the Beaverton area in the fall. In the winter we have a competition cheer team that competes locally at competitions organized through the OCCA (Oregon Cheerleaders Coaches Association). Throughout the year we also participate in community events, clinics, grand openings, parades and more. We teach our youth the basics of cheerleading, tumbling, teamwork, self-confidence and work ethic. We are completely volunteer run and rely on donations and sponsorships to help provide the apparel, equipment and other costs necessary to run the program.
