Mission Statement

To empower young adults and support youth development through mentorship, scholarships, grants, exposure, and experience. We provide opportunities for supporting youth in the arts, media, journalism, entrepreneurship, and related fields.

About This Cause

While the organization is new, much of the work we intend to do in the early years continues on the work of our founder over the last few years. Our founder, Kevin Benoit, has worked in youth education for over 15 years, including most recently as a college and career readiness manager at a charter high school in Brooklyn. The work Parle Endeavors will continue is providing the missing link for high school students entering college or the next phase of their lives, specifically for those who want to pursue careers in media, journalism and entrepreneurship. We understand that all young people need a mentor, but want to provide a mentor and resources to those young people who particularly aspire to be business owners, or find success as journalists and the next wave of responsible media creators. The desire is to help these young people achieve their goals and understand their passion. We will provide grants, and scholarships to students and provide them with a mentor to help them successfully transition from high school to the next stage of their career or pursuits. We want to drive the next leaders in media and provide them with the skills, and experience to grow their brands, by connecting them with a peer who has already made mistakes and has already found success. In order to receive all their funds, grant recipients will have to meet with their mentor to create business plans and go over tips and start-up ideas. Scholarship recipients will also be assigned a mentor, but as long as they are enrolled in a post-school secondary school where they are pursuing a degree in business, communications, journalism or a closely related field, they will receive their funds. Scholarship and grant recipients will be New York based, with a focus on BIPOC students in the inner-city. Following the initial scholarship and grant awards, we will follow that up with workshops and events for the youth. Our inaugural spoken word competition will take place in the Summer, an event our founder has had success doing in the past, partnering with other organizations.
