Mission Statement

We want every non-profit effortlessly using the latest technology in the ways that best serve their work. Every non-profit and civic organization should have access to the software tools and infrastructure they need to fulfill their mission, without breaking the bank.

About This Cause

We provide dedicated expertise for nonprofits that need software help. We’re a not-for-profit software consultancy staffed with full time software engineers. Scrappy community organizations work with what they have and innovate to solve problems. We want to provide access to custom software as an additional tool in that toolbox. We analyze workflows and suggest ways in which software can make them less painful or create opportunities for greater impact. Whether that’s using existing tools more effectively, buying a new tool off the shelf, or building custom tooling to perfectly fit the need, we’ll put our clients in a better position for success. Effectively, we are bringing tech industry best practice to organizations in the civic and non-profit space, providing a force multiplier for the important work that non-profits are already experts in doing. We’re a team of engineers with years of experience taking projects from ideation to production, but most importantly we bring a measured humility and willingness to learn. Sustainable impact isn’t built overnight, and we’re committed to building for long term success. Like any venture, for us to grow it is critical that we constantly reflect on our approach and its effectiveness. We continuously gather evidence that we can sustainably work towards our goals within the current funding environment. We take cues from the best when it comes to building our organizational culture and business practices. From Fog Creek to Basecamp to Y Combinator, we are deliberate in taking a thoughtful approach to deciding and articulating how we work. We know we need to create an environment that supports and affirms both the goals of our organization and the needs of our employees. There are easy wins out there that nonprofits are failing to benefit from simply due to the lack of folks involved with the right backgrounds to identify them. We want to help identify and deliver those wins so that the community members can benefit from more efficient and impactful nonprofit work. Come be a part of what we’re building. We hope you'll consider making a tax-deductible gift to our cause, we appreciate your investment in your community.
