Mission Statement
California Miniature Schnauzer Rescue rescues Miniature Schnauzers and similar dogs, attends to their medical needs and attempts to find them good homes.
About This Cause
CMSR traces its history back to the Rescue Committee of the Miniature Schnauzer Club of Northern California. Around 2009, as the number of dogs needing rescue began to increase due to the recession, we began to rescue dogs in southern California as well. In 2011, we formed CMSR and qualified it with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charity so that our donors could receive tax deductions for their contributions. Also, many shelters in the State make Adoption Partner status available only to 501(c)(3) rescue groups.
