The Heart of Tabitha Foundation is a Maryland 501(c)(3) tax exempt program dedicated to providing students experiencing economic and/or situational difficulties with essentials, education, and wellness resources.
About This Cause
The Heart of Tabitha Foundation is a Maryland 501(c)(3) tax-exempt program dedicated to preparing, inspiring, and guiding economically and socially disadvantaged students to achieve their post-secondary goals, enroll in college and/or learn about career options, and have a greater chance at living a fulfilling life. Our objective is to motivate and help promote strong self-confidence in young women, to provide job training experience, and to offer mentoring programs. The program will also provide students the opportunity to help solve the problems they see in their community through volunteerism and community involvement. It is our hope that The Heart of Tabitha programs will inspire the next generations to develop a passion for philanthropy. Educational Services include: Mentoring & Tutoring College & Career Readiness Job Shadowing Resume Building Interviewing Skills Career Assessments Internship Placement Financial Literacy & Awareness Basic Budgeting Financial Aid (FAFSA) Scholarships Leadership & Personal Development The LEADER in You! Professional Etiquette Classes Educational Training Skills Training By getting involved with the functions of the organization, students will not only find free clothing and school supplies but they will also experience work training, educational and mentoring programs, wellness programs with an emphasis on self-care, and learn financial literacy. Students will become more involved in their community through leadership and developmental activities. They will learn that age is no obstacle to helping solve the problems they see in their community.
