About This Cause
Girl Scouts Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho has been working with girls since 1933. We currently support a council region encompassing 30 counties in eastern Washington and northern Idaho with staff located through the council region. The council employs a staff of 40. The corporate office, located in Spokane, features a 21,600 sq foot program center with gymnasium, teaching kitchen, computer lab, art studio, rock climbing wall, and an overnight hostel with accommodations for 40 girls and adults. Girl Scouts is a girl-focused organization committed to providing a safe environment where girls ages 5 – 17 can grow in courage, confidence, and character. In an atmosphere of fun and friendship, Girl Scouting promotes discovery, encourages leadership and drives girls to take action in their own lives and for the benefit of their communities.
