About This Cause
Camp Fire has been recognized as a high-quality youth development organization since 1910. Our mission: Camp Fire connects youth to the outdoors, to others, and to themselves. Our program serves ALL children, boys and girls, ages 3 through the 12th grade and their families. In 2022, Camp Fire Snohomish County served 4,872 children, providing them 148,257 hours of service Children learn best by making their own choices within a structured environment which encourages fun and social activities. Our program encompasses a wide range of youth development activities such as after school clubs (many in subsidized housing centers), resident and day camps, leadership classes, self-reliance courses and outdoor education. All programs are based on Camp Fire's philosophy of emphasis on small groups, individual attention and mentoring, acceptance of differences and a natural environment. Each small group is supported by high quality curricula; provides innovative activities; and mentors youth to become confident, caring leaders in their personal lives and in their community.
