Mission Statement

United Way of Benton & Franklin Counties collaborates to support a foundation for the well-being, safety, and academic success of children, from birth to middle school. In order to live better, we must live United.

About This Cause

At United Way, our #1 goal is to better the futures of our local kids We Advance Early Learning: Local donors help us bring free books, each month, to local children who have least access to books through our partnership with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Families who receive Imagination Library books read more often to their children resulting in increased kindergarten preparedness. We Enhance Student Success: 200 students, in 9 local middle schools, address barriers to regular school attendance as they participate in our Attendance Matters® Mentoring Program. We Expand Access to Services: 24,300 local kids and parents will access critical services this year because of the 17 grants we placed with local nonprofits to help fill gaps in our community. We Help Local People Receive Basic Needs: 44,066 local people are receiving emergency food and shelter support through our placement of FEMA support with local non-profits.
